About Tasara

Tasara has over 35 years experience working with the metaphysical. She began using magical, earth-based practices as a solitary witch in the late 80’s after being heavily influenced by Starhawk‘s writings. Then she started her training in Core Neo-Shamanic methods in 1997 at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Tasara has studied with many loving, devoted shamanic healers: Janine Ellison, Leslie Conton, John Lawrence, Besty Bergstrom, Sandra Ingerman, Tom Cowan, Anank Nunink Nunkai from Ecuador, Miguel Kavlin from Bolivia, Isa Gucciardi, Bhola Banstola from Nepal, Sangoma John Lockley from South Africa, Christiana Harle from Finland.

For decades, Tasara organized public ceremony and taught neo-shamanic spiritual courses. She drew sacred musicians and dancers together. She opened her home to circles of people for many years. It was a really good time and there was much to be grateful for.

She took a respite for a few years and wrote her book which was published in 2019, The Ancient Bones of Ceremony: Remembering the Heartfelt Ways.

In 2022, she completed her M.Ed in Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
